Once someone has worn one gemstone successfully, the next question is almost always whether they can add another. The answer depends on how the two ruling planets relate to each other - and there is a classical table for exactly that.

Navratna is the exception

A Navratna ring contains all nine stones including several hostile pairs, and is nonetheless considered safe. The traditional reasoning is that the prescribed geometric arrangement balances the set - each stone sits in its proper direction relative to the ruby at the centre, so no planet is amplified in isolation. That balance only holds if the arrangement is correct and every stone is natural.

How to add a second stone safely

1. Check the friendship table first. If the two planets are enemies, stop there.
2. Wear the first stone alone for at least 40 days before introducing another, so you can attribute any change correctly.
3. Add the second on its own planetary day, energised properly.
4. Keep a note for two weeks. Sleep, mood, health, work, money.
5. Do not exceed three stones without a considered reading.
6. Different hands are not a loophole. The influence is on the wearer, not the limb.

If you are unsure, add Rudraksha rather than a second gemstone. Rudraksha combinations carry none of these compatibility restrictions.
